Motor Excellence LLC (“ME”) commercializes new electric motor designs featuring high power density, high torque, electric motor/generator producing over 10 times more continuous torque by weight than exists commercially.
Enabled by new high speed switching controllers, ME’s patented and patent pending motors/generators use high frequencies in a unique electromagnetic architecture to deliver higher torque density and higher power density with greater efficiency. The ME design uses common materials in a unique way – instead of wrapping the copper around the motor, ME wraps the motor around the copper. This results in using 1/50th the amount copper, lowering the resistance losses and yielding higher efficiency.
Commercial applications for ME technology are abundant. The Company is building functional prototype motors today, prioritizing development initiatives to commercialize our technology, and working with strategic partners and investors to expand quickly across multiple industries.
ME motors work especially well in high torque low RPM applications. As an example, ME’s designs offer lighter, highly efficient, and thermally stable in-wheel hub motors for Electric Vehicles (“EV”) that provide the same power and torque with much lower power demand than conventional motors enabling significant reduction in EV batteries. Hub motors also enable elimination of expensive and heavy transmissions and differentials.
ME is also developing small, light-weight and very powerful motors and controllers for e-bike applications. These affordable and extremely efficient electric motors enable inexpensive and reliable transportation for bike commuters, high performance for sports enthusiasts enabling steep hill climbing for mountain bikers and touring as well as defense applications.
