Flagship Biosciences LLC, a provider of digital pathology services, announced that Steven Potts has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer, with Dave Young continuing to serve as President of Flagship Biosciences. Steve has extensive experience in digital pathology, both at Aperio Technologies and previously at Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute. PathoGene licenses technology from TGen…

PathoGene, LLC – a Flagstaff-based molecular diagnostics company located in the Northern Arizona Center for Emerging Technologies (NACET) – has licensed technology from The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) for detecting Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections and uncovering critical genetic information about this “super bug’s” resistance to antibiotics.   Read more of this article…

New Home to PathoGene and Experienced Management Team

Flagstaff and the Northern Arizona Center for Emerging Technologies (NACET) are soon to be home to a molecular diagnostics development company, PathoGene. This venture is being championed by top tier scientists, successful laboratory managers and experienced biotech executives who are using Northern Arizona University (NAU) and TGen as a launching pad for building a successful business.  The founders and management team all call Flagstaff their home… and intend to keep it that way.   Read more of this article…

Flagstaff City Council Approves Mixed Use Model…

The Flagstaff City Council has given approval for NACET to now compliment its high technology focus with a mixed use model.  Under this arrangement, NACET will continue to provide assistance not only to  companies working to commercialize technologies both domestically and internationally but also service based companies or companies who may not center solely on technology.  This will allow NACET to provide its expert business development services to every type of company across Northern Arizona with the exception of retail.  NACET will also continue to function as the Technology Transfer Office for NAU and continues to assist with the commercialization of those technologies.
