Prescott, Ariz., August 30, 2011 – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott campus is pleased to announce that Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technologies (NACET) has opened an office in the Prescott area.  The new center is located on the Embry-Riddle Flight Line off Larry Caldwell Drive at the S/E corner of Prescott’s Love Field Airport.

NACET has already been actively working with Embry-Riddle students and faculty and by opening this location in Prescott they will be able to better serve all students and businesses in Yavapai County.   The new Prescott location complements  their state-of-the-art facility in Flagstaff.  NACET will work with individuals and/or startup companies  to make them successful in ’Transforming Innovation into Business’.

NACET’s powerful program matches great ideas with the appropriate resources.  They link client companies to specialty labs and equipment, intellectual property and capital resources, but also create synergies through an extensive network of mentors, faculty, staff, interns, and alumni from local business and academic institutions.

Their location at Embry-Riddle’s Flight Line will allow NACET to provide business services to the faculty, staff, students and Prescott community members.   This facility will engage with clients in two ways. Resident clients can operate their businesses out of NACET’s high-tech facility and affiliate clients can use the shared office environment when needed, primarily conducting their businesses out of their own offices or laboratories.

Jeff Saville, Vice President “The opportunity for NACET to be located at Embry-Riddle is a natural transition.  Their foundation is based around expertise and technology and this complements everything we stand for.  I know that Embry-Riddle students and students throughout the greater Prescott area will continue to reap the benefits.  This location will be another opportunity for Prescott to showcase the tremendous support we can offer in Arizona for businesses from around the world.”

NACET’s collaboration with Embry-Riddle will foster business growth and economic vitality, creating high-quality jobs for the region. Partnering with a wide variety of non-technology, service, manufacturing, high technology, science and renewable energy firms, NACET offers a hands-on business incubation engagement program designed to transform innovation into viable companies.  NACET also has a Student Business Incubation Program that focuses entirely on students who want to create their own companies while still attending Embry-Riddle University.  This program has assisted numerous Embry-Riddle students and when available the students receive small business grants to help with their start-up costs.
