NACET Core Labs is part of a consortium of core equipment laboratories across Arizona that provides fee-based, sample analysis or synthesis using a wide array of analytical, microscopy and synthesis equipment to technology incubator clients, university researchers and industry.

Advantages of using NACET’s Core Lab:

NACET’s Core Lab offers unique, high quality instrumentation for your analysis and synthesis needs, operated by trained technical staff, following standard operating procedures.

•    NACET’s Core Lab recognizes the potential confidentiality and proprietary nature of your samples and relinquishes any intellectual property rights for any data collected on NACET’s Core Lab instruments
•    Samples are sent or shipped to NACET to be processed on the selected equipment
•    Analysis or synthesis can be performed live via Skype with researcher observing and selecting optimal images/data
•    Download sample submission and billing forms on the site and send in with sample
•    Liability statements here (release is valid only if NACET Core Lab staff  performs the analysis and operates the equipment) or somewhere else on the page
o    Liability waiver: Client releases NACET Core Lab, NACET and DES from liability if sample is lost, or damaged.
o    NACET/DES staff are the trained equipment operators. If client improperly uses and damages the equipment, client is liable/responsible  for repair.
o    Unauthorized access to core lab is not allowed. Unauthorized use of core lab and/or core lab equipment is not allowed.

Instruments available:

1.    Keyence BZ9000 (link to demo page) brightfield and fluorescent digital microscope for biological applications with 2D and 3D image stitching (do we pay for phase contrast illumination and objectives right now?)
2.    Keyence VHX1000 (link to demo page) 16-bit high resolution digital microscope with real time 2D and 3D image stitching, X-Y measurement, Z height measurement, polarized light (do we get this option?) and magnification from 5X to 200 X (need to speak to Andrew about the true magnification and cost of different lenses)
3.    Zeiss compound brightfield and fluorescent microscope with C-mount camera
4.    Scanning Electron Microscope (NAU)
5.    Transmission Electron Microscope (NAU)
6.    Confocal Microscope (NAU)
7.    Histology and Immunohistochemistry sample processing (NAU)

Payment Process:

1.    New client: prepay for up to 90 days, until credit is established. See intake form here
2.    Existing clients (with accounts) Net 15 terms
